98 Sparks’ co-founder, Nic Pannekeet brought happiness to primary school students in Kenya with his friends!
In his most recent trip to Kenya, Nic Pannekeet and his friends donated to sports equipment to primary school students in Kenya. They gave those children soccer shoes, shirts, and balls which made those children felt over the moon! Besides, thanks to them, these soccer shoes & shirts have their second lives in Kenya.
About 60 soccer shoes & shirts were handed out for students at Lairagwan primary school. Moreover, Nic & his friends also hand out new balls for those students to play football. After giving out those sports equipment, those children had a fun & exciting football match with Nic and his friends. Those children were very happy and joyous when receiving new sports equipment. They were extremely atingle when trying on new shoes right after they received them. For the Dean of the school, it was a very pleasant surprise as well. This was also an excellent opportunity for his school to be well-equipped for future sports events.
Nic shared: “I know this school because it’s very close to my house. So I know they have very limited sports equipment & facility. Besides, these people have really tough lives dealing with poverty. I always saw those students play sports with very old shoes which you can see in some of the photos.”
Nic continued: “As a big fan of sports, I want to help these children to have better sports equipment. Therefore, I got an idea to bring them new sports equipment from the Netherlands. When I was back in the Netherlands, I approached a local soccer club to collect some soccer shoes & clothes. At the same time, we went to a sports shop to buy some new balls. When we gave them to the students, they were super happy! With a simple giving act, we are able to bring happiness to them”.
With his unconditional giving joy to others, Nic made inspiring actions by sharing things with people who are in need. We, 98 Sparks, always seek to empower people in different ways so we can help people to bring out the best in them.
