98 Sparks take tremendous pleasure in introducing the LIVEKINDLY Collective as the newest addition to the portfolio.

Founded by the Blue Horizon Group as a collection of heritage and start-up brands and who; having raised half a billion dollars (US) in its first 12 months; stand poised to become one of the world’s largest plant-based food companies.

“Our mission is to make plant-based living the new norm, creating a healthier, more sustainable global food system through our international portfolio that meets local tastes,” said David Knopf, CFO of LIVEKINDLY Collective.

“With the close of this funding round, we are ideally positioned to rapidly scale our model and lead the global consumer shift toward healthy, delicious and sustainable plant-based alternatives.”

The environmental impact of meat production on our natural resources and biodiversity has dire and far-reaching consequences. It may startle some to know that it takes some 50 000 litres of water to produce just 1kg of beef, while we use only 2200 litres to produce the equivalent in soybeans. When one considers that there are in excess of 1,5 billion cows on the planet, each emitting 70 – 120kg of methane, the propensity toward plant-based and the shift away from animal products, will continue to grow as we move toward the 2050 goal of Net Zero emissions.

‘There is a growing acceptance that our current water consumption is neither healthy nor sustainable for our planet. Fresh Water is a finite resource, so we need to be cautious how we spend this in a world with an ever-growing population. Through this investment we indirectly also support the vision of PureTerra, to create clean and safe drinking water for all.’ said Gijs de Bruin, Co-founder 98 Sparks.

While Veganism and the concept of plant-based sources of food as a diet may seem new, the earliest record of the movement dates back 200 years. As the global community comes to understand the overarching consequences of traditional livestock farming and acquaint themselves with the advancements in food technology; we look forward to a growing trend of healthier and more sustainable food options. And, with a lifestyle website providing and directing content from some of your favourite celebs and personalities; there has simply never been an easier or better time, to LIVEKINDLY!
